Muyinga Project - Outreach
FAMA serves families and individuals regardless of their religious affiliation. As a Christian organization, FAMA seeks to minister not only to physical and material needs of the Pygmies, but also to let them know that there is a God in heaven who loves them and sees them and sent FAMA to help them.
FAMA has shown The Jesus Film to large groups of Pygmies, spoken to them of Jesus’s love, and tried to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the Pygmy community. Dozens of the Pygmies working with FAMA have met Jesus Christ and understand that God loves them even if the rest of society has forgotten them. The Pygmy ladies have organized their own choir and have even travelled to Bujumbura to sing in one of the largest churches in the capital city.
